About us

The School of Learning and Professional Studies focuses on lifelong learning and development and the application of theory to professional practice. The School has academic staff across a range of educational specialisations including learning and cognition, developmental psychology, counselling and inclusive education, literacy and learning difficulties, curriculum studies with a focus on middle years, assessment, pedagogy, behaviour management, educational leadership, and higher education.

This blend of disciplinary specialisations fosters creative integrations of learning and teaching studies across a wide range of environments. The academics in the School share a commitment to the provision of high quality learning experiences for a wide diversity of students. In addition, the work of the School is underpinned by a commitment to a socially just and inclusive curriculum and pedagogy.

The School offers a range of programs from full-time and part-time courses taught on campus, to courses taught online to students in Australia and other countries, to short professional development modules.
