This group of accomplished early childhood educators, psychologists and developmental psychologists has a shared focus on young children. The Early Years Cluster aims to improve life chances, health and well-being, development and learning, and policy impacting upon the early years of life.

Mathematics Education and Curriculum

This team of internationally recognized mathematic educators conducts research in vital areas of mathematics education important in local and global arenas. They inform and transform teaching practice, and are building a systematic database to inform policy in the interests of solving real and pressing social and economic problems.

Literacies, Curriculum and Pedagogies

This cluster of renowned literacy educators focuses on literacy practices and curriculum, inclusive curriculum, and pedagogic design and classroom discourse. The group goal is to ensure that all children have access to high quality literacy education that accounts for equity and diversity, and enhances the opportunity of each individual to lead a personally fulfilling life and to contribute fully to social well being.

Learning for Professional Futures

This group of lifelong learning specialists demonstrates considerable breadth in terms of expertise, discipline and diverse stakeholder groups yet members share a common focus on learning for professional development. Within this domain, adult and leadership for learning, career development and lifelong learning, organisational learning, innovation in learning environments, pedagogical studies, and Information and Communication Technologies for learning and teacher development are the key collaborative research interests of various group members.
