Child abuse and neglect; child protection; child sexual abuse prevention education; children in families and communities.
Kerryann Walsh is currently senior lecturer in the School of Early Childhood. She is an educator with a background in early years education and child protection. She teaches large undergraduate units in the areas of family and childhood studies, and field studies. Her research interests include child protection, educational effects of child abuse and neglect, the relationships between law, policy and practice in child abuse reporting, teamwork and collaboration, peer mentoring, and first year transition to university. She serves as course coordinator/mentor for the 4-year Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) and as the Faculty Research Ethics Advisor.
