The Faculty of Education offers a variety of prizes to reward outstanding academic achievement amongst students and graduates.

Association of Women Educators Award for Girls' Education
Awarded each year to one student enrolled in a preservice teacher education degree in the Faculty of Education for the highest result for an assessment piece related to study or practice in girls' education. More information and nomination form (DOC|33KB)

Australian College of Educators Award
Awarded to the outstanding graduate of an initial teacher education course.

Australian Council for Educational Leaders (Queensland) Award
Awarded to the outstanding graduate of educational leadership.
2011 Recipient: Anders Kletthagen
Australian Literacy Educator's Association Award
Awarded to one graduate of a Bachelor of Education (Primary) course, and one graduate of a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood) course, with the highest GPA in core English language and literacy units.

Isolated Children's Parents' Association Award

Lil Gwyther Award
The Lil Gwyther Award has been established as an annual prize awarded to an undergraduate student in QUT’s School of Early Childhood who has demonstrated in-depth knowledge of early childhood education principles, and outstanding competency in using these principles when teaching young children in a school setting. The award is to provide encouragement to students to be ambassadors for developmentally appropriate and child-centered teaching. More information and nomination form (DOC|48KB)

Awarded to a highly motivated graduate of the Bachelor of Education (Primary) course who has shown a personal interest in literacy to encourage potential excellence in the classroom.

Queensland Guidance and Counselling Award
Awarded to the graduating student with the highest GPA in a guidance and counselling program.

Executive Dean’s Service Awards for Students
