Rewarding Excellence
High quality teaching is informed by research, not least of which research into teaching itself. Scholars of Teaching seek the very best approaches for teaching in our tertiary contexts to best support the desired learning outcomes for our students. These scholars research their own and other’s approaches to teaching and share their findings for the community of tertiary educators and theorists. In the Faculty of Education we value Scholarship around Teaching and Learning, and to encourage innovation, research and development we have established an annual Faculty Teaching Excellence Award Scheme, including:
- Teaching Excellence Awards (Full Time Academic, Sessional Academic, Early Career Academic, and Teaching Teams). Nomination form for Individuals and Teams
- Supporting / Enhancing Learning (Professional Staff Awards). Nomination form
- Scholarship of Teaching Award. Nomination form
Awards will normally be announced each November.
We encourage Faculty to apply for Grants and Excellence reward and development schemes which are available within QUT, nationally and internationally. Some useful links to key opportunities can be found at:
